The Jessie Mae Williams Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor the memory of the  Williams family matriarch, the late Jessie Mae Williams (1908 -  I'll need to get that date to you ).  Passionate about serving others, Mrs. Williams spent a lifetime working tirelessly to provide resources and support for the youth in her community.  This $1,000.00 scholarship fund has been created to continue her legacy by helping students achieve their dreams.  The scholarship will be awarded annually to a female, African-American high school student  who exhibits  the values Mrs. Williams lived during her life.  To apply, qualified applicants must be: 


  • African American female High School student
  • Attending a Historically Black College or University in 2024 -2025
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Candidates must write an essay describing their community service and volunteer experience,  in addition to how they plan to help their community in the future.
  • Recipient MUST provide Letter of Enrollment (proof of attendance) dated no earlier than 09/05/2024 to receive funds.
